OUR HISTORY
Hotel VITA Berlin was created from the idea of combining hospitality with social commitment. We are part of VITA e.V. Berlin – a social organisation that has been committed to inclusion, integration and participation for more than 35 years.
With 19 facilities and services, VITA e.V. Berlin supports people with mental health conditions, people in need of care and people experiencing homelessness.
Our hotel is therefore a consistent continuation of our philosophy: people come first, and no one should be stigmatised because of an impairment.
OUR CONCEPT
At Hotel VITA Berlin in Charlottenburg-Westend, we combine modern hotel comfort with a unique social approach. Our guests enjoy accessible rooms, personal hospitality and a convenient location close to Messe Berlin, the Waldbuehne, the Olympic Stadium and Kurfuerstendamm.
At the same time, we create jobs for people with mental health conditions and actively support their participation in working life.
Do you already know our own roasted coffee? As part of our project Charlottenburger Genusshandwerk we roast high-quality coffee and produce our own tea blends. This creates additional occupational therapy opportunities for our clients.
You can purchase our products directly at the hotel or online through Charlottenburger Genusshandwerk: another way in which enjoyment and social commitment go hand in hand.
Accessible Facilities
Accessibility is a central part of our hotel concept. Access to the hotel as well as the lobby, breakfast room and several rooms in our hotel, which opened in September 2017, are fully wheelchair-accessible and equipped accordingly. In addition, our hotel is certified accessible, which confirms the high quality of our accessible facilities.
During construction, furnishing and the first years of operation, we were supported by Aktion Mensch and Lotto Berlin.
